Zahshanné Zehra Malik

Zahshanné Zehra Malik, a Kathak dancer and Queen’s University graduate with an Honours degree in Drama, is dedicated to her craft and creative pursuits. From the age of 4, she received training from renowned dancers in Pakistan, Canada, and the United States, commencing her performance journey at the young age of 6. Zahshanné has featured in numerous local TV commercials, short films, and music videos, including Atif Aslam’s ‘Jalna,’ Coke Studio’s ‘Peechay Hutt’ by Hassan Raheem, Talal Qureshi, and Justin Bibis, as well as Red Bull’s ‘Dheem Tana’ by Bilal Maqsood. She has also served as the head choreographer for Velo Sound Station Season 2. Zahshanné’s instructional and choreographic expertise has been sought after at institutions such as The Arts Council of Pakistan Theatre Academy, British Over Seas, and C.A.S., among others. Furthermore, Zahshanné holds the ‘All Styles Champion’ title from Styles Clash 2021, which marked the first-ever women’s dance battle in Pakistan. Complementing her dance career, she embarked on her acting journey by assuming the role of Sophie Sheridan in the musical ‘Mamma Mia’ with Made for Stage Productions in Lahore in 2010. Over the years, she has taken part in various theatre productions as an actor, director, and playwright. Notably, she wrote and directed her production titled ‘The Universe Inside You,’ which was showcased at the Napa Theatre Festival in 2020.
