About Us

The Islamabad Literature Festival (ILF) was launched in April 2013 and has been a resounding success right from the start. Inspired by the Karachi Literature Festival (KLF), the Children’s Literature Festival (CLF) was launched at the end of 2011.

Terms And Conditions

Entry to the Islamabad Literature Festival (ILF) is free. For special privileges detailed below, please register as a Delegate at the 6th Islamabad Literature Festival 2019

Special Facilities for Delegates

  • A delegate's badge that allows you access to the exclusive lunches in a designated area at the ILF venue, on 27, 28, and 29 September 2019, with the participating speakers, sponsors, publishers, dignitaries, celebrities, and festival organizers
  • Access to the Speakers' Lounge (Consulate Room)
  • An ILF bag with sponsor gifts (to be collected from the help desk)

Registration for Delegates

  • The Delegate registration fee is PKR 5,000 per day per person. If you register for all three days (27, 28, and 29 September 2019), you can avail of a special rate of PKR 10,000 per person.
  • Each registration is valid for one person only and is non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • The registration fee can be paid in advance at any Oxford bookshop, listed below, by credit card/debit card/bank draft/pay order or cash by 26 September 2019 at the latest.
  • Registration/payment of fee can also be similarly done upon arrival at the venue.

Terms and Conditions for all Festival Attendees

  • ILF reserves the right to prohibit entry of any person to an event/the venue, or eject any person from an event/the venue based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by the ILF staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority.
  • Entry to sessions is free and on a first-come basis. There are no reservations.
  • ILF reserves the right to change the programme at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a programme of equivalent standard.

Volunteers required for the 6th Islamabad Literature Festival 2019

Oxford University Press Pakistan invites students from schools (class 8 and above) and colleges to volunteer at the 6th Islamabad Literature Festival 2019 to be held on 27, 28, and 29 September 2019 at Hotel Margala, Islamabad. Your duties will entail ushering, managing the Help Desk and stage, and facilitation of visitors and authors.
