Sajjad Azhar
Sajjad Azhar is a journalist with extensive experience in investigative reporting covering subjects including the economy, counterterrorism, culture, and heritage. He is currently affiliated with Independent Urdu. Since 1994, he has contributed to numerous national and international newspapers and periodicals, producing a wide range of reports, interviews, documentaries, and features. In addition to his latest work, ‘Rawal Raj,’ he is the author of an Urdu-language book titled ‘Do Wattan’ (Two Homelands), which delves into the lives of the Pakistani Diaspora in the United Kingdom. In 2021, he published a poetry book, ‘Landi Kotal Ki Laltain,’ which explores the conflicts within Pakistan through verses. Notably, in the same year, he was honoured with the ‘Agahi Award’ in the category of Extremism & Terrorism, earning him the title of Journalist of the Year.
