Dr Humaira Ishfaq is a well-established female writer who is known for her works regarding the evolution of women’s education in history. She is also recognized for her short stories and novel. Dr Humaira Ishfaq commenced her writing career in 2010 and has successfully published more than 15 books. In addition to her writing, she has served as an Assistant Professor in the Urdu department of the International Islamic University. Furthermore, she completed her post-doctorate at the University of Cambridge, UK. It’s noteworthy that she is among the few women who received a post-doctoral scholarship from HEC, the Government of Pakistan, in 2014. Dr Humaira Ishfaq is also celebrated as a literary critic in the Urdu literary community. Some of her notable works include ‘Katbon Kay Darmian,’ ‘Mee Sozam,’ and ‘Majmua Mohammadi Begum.’ She has also worked with renowned writers such as Nisar Azeez Butt, Fahmida Riaz, and Khwaja Muhammad Ahmed Saleem which have enriched the literary landscape.
